Job Description
Plant Geneticist/Pathologist to join our R&D The selected candidates will perform novel research in the areas of Plant Genetics, molecular biology and phytopathology. The candidates should have an M.Sc. degree from a reputable university in one of the above disciplines, proficiency in Molecular Genetics and Computation and strong communication skills in Hebrew and English.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct high quality research
Investigate, optimize, and develop a high-quality banana plants through genome editing.
Conduct research with the goal of practical implementation in banana plantations.
דרישות התפקיד וניסיון נדרש:
MSc in Plant Genetics/ Pathology OR an MSc. in one of the above fields with 2+ years post-graduate experience in an industry or academic setting.
Strong experience in molecular/genomic tools (CRISPR, Real time PCR, Northern and Southern blots analysis, Bioinformatics, Functional Genomics, Metabolic Engineering).
Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific journal articles, technical procedures, government regulations, and testing procedures.
