What you will be doing:
- Execute purchases, including issuing POs
- Research potential vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
T- rack orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality and accuracy of purchased and delivered products
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Coordinate and issue shipments from/to suppliers and Fieldin branches
- Deal with logistics issues
- Monitor stock levels, ensure optimal stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Assist with planning of material
Desired experience and skills:
- Should have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Purchasing Officer, Buyer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
- Experience with shipment procedures, customs clearance, etc is a plus
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Organizational skills, ability to focus and multi-task, careful attention to detail
- Ability to work in an English-speaking environment
- BA/BSc in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
- Previous relevant experience in purchasing
- Working experience in an ERP environment, very good Excel skills ( NetSuite is a plus)
