As an Associate Information Developer (Technical Writer) at BMC Software, you will be an active participant within the Development group and have excellent knowledge and understanding of the documentation development process, the software development process, and product lifecycles.
In this role, you will be:
- Developing high-quality technical documentation by working with writers and engineers.
- Leading assigned projects; under the direction of the IDD Manager and following through to complete the product cycle and report accurate and timely status for all assignments.
- Working with reviewers to ensure technical accuracy and appropriateness of content according to prescribed project deliverables and schedules.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on the product being documented and making recommendations to improve technical information based on target audiences.
- Collaborating with writers and editors to ensure adherence to the prescribed style guide for the seamless flow of information to our customers.
- Initiating and recommending creative ways to improve technical information deliverables and processes.

- Native English speaker.
- Experience developing technical documentation for software products.
- High proficiency with accepted industry-specific authoring/publishing tools.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with global and culturally diverse departments and groups.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
